Speakers of the day
Being a Baker – Sue, Les Petit Chefs Sue is the founder of Les Petits Chefs. She has been in the baking industry for the past 4 years, supplying cakes to cafes and hotels. Les Petits Chefs, together with the sister company Simply Cookies Sdn Bhd is the fnalists of Berbudi Berganda and MyHarapan challenge, and runner up of Hope Award. She was also featured in Focus Malaysia for helping the single mothers to improve their lives through baking. At Les Petits Chefs, they believe in learning through baking, where children absorb much better, learn much faster through the simple act of baking. They impart out-of-the-textbook knowledge while developing their right brain. Best way to learn, is when children don’t feel that they’re learning, but when they’re having fun and enjoying themselves!
Being an Engineer – Vyasa, Cad Design Centre
Vyasa Kandasamy has been actively involved in the field of Computer Aided Design for more than 20 years. He has trained Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Architects, Interior Designers, Product Designers in places like the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), Selangor Human Resource Development Corporation (SHRDC) and numerous manufacturing and construction entities across Malaysia.
He founded CAD Design Centre, a pioneer in Malaysia to bring this knowledge to kids as young as 7. The purpose – exposing them to these technical skills early. He is uses the latest 3D Printing Technology, to inspire students to create real models on their own and learn in a fun filled exciting way.
His motto is “ Get them to have fun with technology while young” – they don’t have to wait till they are 18 years old, to start being exposed to this!
Being a Speaker – Johan and Cherry, Kids Public Speaking Acadamy
Johan Ooi is the co-founder of Johan Speaking Academy.
Johan is the current President of the D’Utama Advanced Toastmasters Club and has participated in Humorous Speech competitions and International Speech Contests, and has spoken on stage as a guest speaker for Maxis and P1, on the topic of social media. He has travelled extensively within Malaysia as a speaker and now eager to impart his skills and knowledge in public speaking, especially to kids.
Cherry Ho is the co-founder of Johan Speaking Academy and the brainchild of Kids Public Speaking program. She trains in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia for Kids Public Speaking program. Her patience and joyful personality blended very well with the kids.
Cherry’s breakthrough came when she was the emcee for Chinese Society Event where 600 people attended and intends to pass this confidence to young kids.
