What our students say about us:

“I have always thought learning AutoCAD will be difficult, and it will take a long time to master it. So I never got started. But I was wrong. Cad Design Centre made the learning of AutoCAD very easy to understand for me, even at my age” Ramli Baharudin, ASJ Consulting Sdn Bhd

“My office had Microsoft project, and very few of our employees knew how to use it. As I frequently depended on others to plan and enter the data for the project, I decided to learn it myself. In 2 days, Cad Design Centre thought the simple way to manage projects with Microsoft Project, and I am very happy with my new learning. I could quickly use what I learnt, in my office” – Mr C.H. CAD Training to upskill workforce for the Telco market

Recent training with Ace Training, to up skill graduates from various Universities in Malaysia. Here they get an intensive one month training, on various Telco related subjects and know hows, including learning CAD, before they get absorbed into the job market. This way, they would be able to start performing in their job from day one, without going through extensive trainings by their future employers.

Learning CAD for Jewellery Design

Pn Jaslena is a very creative person, with great entrepreneurial skills to boot. She is a Fashion and Jewellery designer, and also the managing director at Lena.com.my a boutique jewellery design company, famous for niche one of a kind jewellery design.

In class, she showed her creative skills with AutoCAD from day one. She found learning AutoCAD helps to simplify the design process and helps to create complicated design with just a few key strokes.

Ever the creative one, Pn Jaslena quickly created some design pieces, playing with some different commands of AutoCAD.

Enjoyed teaching her, and wish her the best in creating new beautiful designs, with her newly learnt AutoCAD skills!

Pn Naziah's family from Perak, together with me

Family comes to learn AutoCAD and 3D Printing all the way from Sri Iskandar, Perak.

Earlier this week, I had a chance to teach a large group of students and parents. We had a session in MDEC, courtesy of their STEM program.

Amongst my students was Pn Nor Naziah, who came from Sri Iskandar, Perak. It is a place I knew well, as I did my Engineering studies in the USM Engineering campus, while the Campus was still located in Tronoh, Perak, which is in the Sri Iskandar region. It is on the road between Ipoh to Lumut.

Part of the training session in MDEC - sShe is a teacher, and has true dedication to learning and expanding herself and her family. She brought her sister and her 3 children together with her to expose her family to a new knowledge.  She mentioned that she wanted to expose her children to as many fields as possible, so that they could eventually find one that they truly love, and then excel in it.

In the class, she also found out her children had talents which she didn’t know about previously. It was a good learning and discovery session for her and her family.

Kudos to her! Look forward to more teaching more students like her and her family!

Hard at work

Learning AutoCAD as a way to identify future career paths.

Recently, a group of young enthusiastic students, who just finished their SPM and A Level exams decided to learn AutoCAD, as a way to find out if their career options they had in mind is really what they wanted to do in the long term.

The team working hard solving their design challenges

The team working hard solving their design challenges

As they were interested in Architecture, and Interior Design, the 2 day AutoCAD course was designed more towards their interest in these areas. The 2D Autocad drawings exercises were actual drawing exercises from the architecture and Interior design fields. During the course, they asked many good questions about these fields, to clarify the use of AutoCAD in these fields, and all the while getting exposed to how architects and interior designers think. While they were interested in Architecture, they were also exposed to various Engineering fields, to also know what the different fields in Engineering is all about, just to widen the future career scopes.

The happy graduates - Cad Design School

Learning AutoCAD or any CAD Program, with people experienced in the field gives a good chance to understand the field itself, and also how people in the field think.  Sometimes what a person thinks about a field, and also the actual work that goes on in the field can be a little different, and can lead to disappointment.  So getting to know the field very early on, before embarking in college life, and getting focused on the subjects, is a good move.

Learn AutoCAD, have an advantage in your Career!

For those of you who have an interest in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, Fashion, Toy Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Games Design, Animation, learning AutoCAD will be invaluable.

2D House Drawing

AutoCAD 2D or 3D, has always been a very important tool in the industry. However, a lack of people who are skilled in this field has been a constant problem. Many Malaysian Universities and Colleges teach very basic AutoCAD or other CAD programs, that does not sufficiently meet the industry’s needs.  We can’t blame them, as most times they do not have adequate funding to build the labs. Due to this, frequently more emphasis is given on the other theoretical subjects that need also to be completed.

Manoo, 20 years old, from Politeknik Unku Omar, learnt his 2D and 3D skills here, as the syllabus in his campus was not detailed enough. His ambition is to become an aircraft maintainance Engineer, so with the knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, it would give him an added advantage when seeking for a job. In the class, he quickly grasped the concepts, and started modelling. He eventually got his 3D modelled component which he designed in 2 days, 3D printed in class itself.

Pn Jaslena Ahmad, owner of a high end Jewellery centre in Sri Hartamas, came to learn AutoCAD, to brush up her designing skills, to create better Jewellery design work. Ever the creative person, during she experimented with many new styles. She surprised herself with some new designs she created within the 2 days of her course.

Learning Computer Aided Design  or AutoCAD,  gives a very good insight into the real world working atmosphere, as almost all the fields mentioned above need design or drawing, before the final product is produced or built. Our trainers are also from the industry, so we’ll always share our industry experience, and pass down important industry tips and tricks to our students.

For this reason alone people come from as far as Seremban, Ipoh, Teluk Intan for our courses. (Our classes are in Puchong)

Qadira came to explore her future career path. She had an interest in Architecture and Interior design, and wanted to see if this area actually fitted in with her dreams. In her class, she asked many questions, and was eventually more clear about her future career path.

For students who have currently finished the Form 5, STPM, A Levels, learning this skill will help you tremendously with your coursework and design work in the University or College.

Nesam and Son, Jonathan -2

Nesam was overlooking the layout designs in her office. She had to look at furniture, office design, cubicle placements, and furniture layout in the office. Previously she had to always depend on third parties to make any changes or edit or add and remove components in the layout drawings. After her 2D AutoCAD class, she feels more in charge of her office work, and does not need to depend on any third parties to complete her work efficiently.

DSC_0003

Kevin Gan, from Seremban, came to brush up his skills in 2D and 3D. Here he is with a scale model replica of a Nissan Skyline GTR. He carefully researched the subject, designed it in 2D, and then moved on to 3D and then 3D Printed the car.

A really funny video about 3D Printing.

A really funny video about 3D Printing.

Found this video about 3d printing really funny. Of course, the video is super exaggerated. 3d printers definitely do not print this fast, and they definitely don’t print out items just like this. It could take 5 hours, just to print  an object like a small  toy car.  And there would be a lot of extra prints that need to be cleaned out.

3D printing, this is definitely not, but definitely good for laughs!
