For those of you who have an interest in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, Fashion, Toy Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Games Design, Animation, learning AutoCAD will be invaluable.
AutoCAD 2D or 3D, has always been a very important tool in the industry. However, a lack of people who are skilled in this field has been a constant problem. Many Malaysian Universities and Colleges teach very basic AutoCAD or other CAD programs, that does not sufficiently meet the industry’s needs. We can’t blame them, as most times they do not have adequate funding to build the labs. Due to this, frequently more emphasis is given on the other theoretical subjects that need also to be completed.
Manoo, 20 years old, from Politeknik Unku Omar, learnt his 2D and 3D skills here, as the syllabus in his campus was not detailed enough. His ambition is to become an aircraft maintainance Engineer. So equipping himself with AutoCAD 3D skills and knowledge would give him an added advantage when seeking for a job. In the class, he quickly grasped the concepts, and started modelling. He eventually got his 3D modelled component which he designed in 2 days, and 3D printed in class itself.
Pn. Jaslena Ahmad, owner of a high end Jewellery centre in Sri Hartamas, came to learn AutoCAD to brush up her designing skills in order to create a better and more advanced Jewellery design work. Ever the creative person, during the class she experimented with many new styles. She surprised herself with some new designs she designed within the 2 days of her course.
Learning Computer Aided Design or AutoCAD, gives a very good insight into the real world working atmosphere, as almost all the fields mentioned above need design or drawing, before the final product is produced or built. Our trainers are also from the industry, so we’ll always share our industry experience, and pass down important industry tips and tricks to our students.
For this reason alone people come from as far as Seremban, Ipoh, Teluk Intan for our courses. (Our classes are in Puchong)
Qadira came to explore her future career path. She had an interest in Architecture and Interior design, and wanted to see if this area actually fitted in with her dreams. In her class, she asked many questions, and was eventually more clear about her future career path.
For students who have currently finished the Form 5, STPM, A Levels, learning this skill will help you tremendously with your coursework and design work in the University or College.
Nesam was overlooking the layout designs in her office. She had to look at furniture, office design, cubicle placements, and furniture layout in the office. Previously she had to always depend on third parties to make any changes or edit or add and remove components in the layout drawings. After her 2D AutoCAD class, she feels more in charge of her office work, and does not need to depend on any third parties to complete her work efficiently.
Kevin Gan, from Seremban, came to brush up his skills in 2D and 3D. Here he is with a scale model replica of a Nissan Skyline GTR. He carefully researched the subject, designed it in 2D, and then moved on to 3D and then 3D Printed the car.
