What our students say about us :

“I have always thought learning AutoCAD will be difficult, and it will take a long time to master it. So I never got started. But I was wrong. Cad Design Centre made the learning of AutoCAD very easy to understand for me, even at my age” Ramli Baharudin, ASJ Consulting Sdn Bhd

“My office had Microsoft project, and very few of our employees knew how to use it. As I frequently depended on others to plan and enter the data for the project, I decided to learn it myself. In 2 days, Cad Design Centre thought the simple way to manage projects with Microsoft Project, and I am very happy with my new learning. I could quickly use what I learnt, in my office” – Mr C.H. How to Design Like an Architect

Here is a nice video by Doug Patt, talking about the design process some architects use. It involves a lot of research, thinking, and sketching to come up with different ideas.

He draws inspiration from Prof Edmund Bacon “Its in the doing that the idea comes”. That is, we must sit and work through something before we can find the best way to solve a problem. Solving a design problem is essentially taking what we know and putting it together with that particular challenge. When an architect sits down to problem solve they frequently sketch.

Enjoy the video!

Cad Design Centre Helps train Working Adults with their AutoCAD, Microsoft Project Basics, Effective Project Management, Effective Human Resource and other training programs that can be learnt in just 2 Days. This knowledge is vital in the Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing and Architectural industries. We also teach Young Ones with our Teens & Kids Multi Skills Course which allow them to explore many new fields early on, before they decide to step in the fields and incur a big College or UCad Design Centre - Apiit Engineering_02niversity fee.  Our courses will give them an edge in University, and at the Workplace

Recent class in MDEC for students and parents

Had fun teaching a group of very interested students and parents in MDEC  (Multimedia Development Corporation).  Young ones as young as 6 and with their parents came, and enjoyed the class. The class was done as a collaboration between MDEC, Dreamcatcher  together with CAD Design Centre and IMakerzone. It is an initiative to promote the knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths amongst young ones and adults.

I too feel that very little practical emphasis is given on these subjects in school. It is more theory and less practical currently, and it would definitely douse the fire in any young ones inventive mind.

Manoo, from Politeknik Ungku Omar, Ipoh comes to upgrade his skill in AutoCAD to be ready for working life

Meet Manoo, who came from Polyteknik Ungku Omar, Ipoh.  Over there, he is studying the Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, final year.

He recently came to Cad Design Centre, Puchong, to brush up his knowledge in AutoCAD 2D and 3D. As he had learnt some 2D before, we brushed up 2D AutoCAD pretty fast, and then moved on to 3D.

As part of his ambition is to be an aircraft maintainance engineer and entry to this field is pretty competitive, he wanted to have an edge in his resume, when he eventually leaves college life. Having the knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD 3D will give him an advantage in this field, especially when it comes to drawing mechanical parts for design and machining, and also presenting certain subjects.

Manoo, 20 years old, from Politeknik Unku Omar, learnt his 2D and 3D skills here, as the syllabus in his campus was not detailed enough. His ambition is to become an aircraft maintainance Engineer, so with the knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, it would give him an added advantage when seeking for a job. In the class, he quickly grasped the concepts, and started modelling. He eventually got his 3D modelled component which he designed in 2 days, 3D printed in class itself.

In college, they learn basics of Computer aided design, he mentioned, and he wanted to learn it in much more detail, and also wanted to know how CAD is really used in the real world, and be ready for it.

Wish him all the best in his chosen field!

Abirami – Level 1,2 & 3 AutoCAD

Abirami, 10 year old, from Teluk Intan, Perak, is one of the earliest students of CAD Design School.  Her parents are very motivated teachers, and felt taking time away from their busy schedule to send their young daughter to self enrichment classes is worth their time and effort.

Here is Abirami, who is one of the youngest graduates of Level 1 (2D), Level 2 (3D) and Level 3 (Advanced 3D Modelling and 3D Printing).
